Pretest:
No fasting or dietary restrictions required. Inform the lab or physician if you are taking iron, folate, or vitamin B12 supplements, as they can affect RBC size distribution. Avoid strenuous exercise immediately before the test. Maintain hydration for accurate blood sampling.
