Pretest:
Consume a regular meal (not too heavy or too light). Blood sample must be collected exactly 2 hours after the first bite of the meal. Do not eat or drink anything except water during the 2-hour interval. Avoid smoking and strenuous physical activity before the test. Inform clinician if on medications affecting glucose (insulin or oral hypoglycemics).
