Pretest:
Morning (8–10 AM) sample preferred for serum cortisol measurement; a second evening sample may be requested. Avoid stress, strenuous exercise, and caffeine before sampling. Inform the physician about corticosteroid medications, as they can affect results. For urine test: collect all urine for 24 hours in the container provided.
