The Chyle in Urine test detects the presence of chyle (lymphatic fluid containing fat droplets) in urine, which can indicate chyluria — a condition caused by lymphatic system obstruction, filarial infection, or trauma to the lymphatic-urinary tract.
Pretest:
Collect a fresh urine sample in a clean container. Avoid contamination with water or antiseptics. If possible, provide an early morning sample, as chyluria is often more prominent then.
