Pretest:
No fasting required. Collect urine in a clean, sterile container. Avoid contamination with stool or tissue paper. For 24-hour collection, ensure proper labeling of start and end time. Avoid sample collection during menstruation. Inform your clinician if you have known or suspected renal disease or plasma cell disorders.
