The Benzodiazepines, Urine test detects the presence of benzodiazepine drugs or their metabolites in urine. It is used for drug screening, toxicology testing, and monitoring therapeutic compliance or abuse of medications such as diazepam, alprazolam, or lorazepam.
Pretest:
No special preparation required. Provide a fresh, midstream urine sample in a sterile container. Avoid excessive fluid intake before collection to prevent sample dilution. Inform your clinician about prescribed sedatives, sleep aids, or anti-anxiety medications, as these may contain benzodiazepines. Confirmatory testing by GC–MS may be performed for positive results.
