Pretest:
No fasting required. Inform your doctor about ongoing medications, especially immunosuppressants or corticosteroids, as they may affect antibody levels. Avoid sample collection during active infection or fever for accurate results. Discuss recent autoimmune symptoms (e.g., joint pain, rash, fatigue, dry eyes/mouth) with your clinician for better interpretation.
